REVIEW OF THE NINETEENTH REPORT
SUSTAINABLE USE OF SOIL

An evaluation of the Royal Commission's Nineteenth Report, Sustainable Use of Soil (Cm 3165, February 1996), has recently been completed. It was carried out for the Commission by Mrs Enid M. Barron, a former civil servant and a former Research Fellow of Nuffield College Oxford.

The Commission is most grateful to all those who helped Mrs Barron in her task by agreeing to be interviewed or by providing information in other ways.
