Site audience and purpose

This site is intended to cover the information needs of different potential audiences - government officials, the general public, industry and associated professionals, schoolchildren, students, teachers and academics and so on. It is structured to present simple information first, with an indication of more detail further into the site.

Site navigation

The site can be navigated using links given on the various navigation bars or the breadcrumb trail given at the top of the page.

Page layout - finding your way around; printing

The majority of pages on this site are designed to a standard format, similar to the page you are looking at now. This has been tested on a variety of browsers and platforms. It is designed to display best with your monitor set at a screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels (or higher), but will generally display without difficulty at 640 x 480 pixels.

On many pages you will see a navigation section under the Royal Crest, showing you where you are within the hierarchy of the site, and providing links back up to more general pages in the same area. For example:

The left hand side of the screen contains links to other subject areas on the site.

At the foot of the page you will find information on the date the page was published or last modified, and further links to key pages on the site.

Pages in the same current design as this one are designed so that the left-hand navigation bar will not be included when they are printed. This helps to produce a clearer printed result by omitting elements designed primarily for on-screen navigation.

Using our website

The RCEP website is maintained for your personal use and viewing. Access and use by you of this site constitutes acceptance by you of these Terms and Conditions that take effect from the date of first use.

Hyperlinking to the RCEP website

You do not have to ask permission to link directly to pages hosted on this site. We do not object to you linking directly to the information that is hosted on our site.

However, we do not permit our pages to be loaded into frames on your site. The RCEP pages must load into the user's entire window.

Hyperlinks to third party websites

RCEP is not responsible for the contents or reliability of linked websites and does not necessarily endorse the views expressed within them. Listing should not be taken as endorsement of any kind. We cannot guarantee that these links will work all of the time and we have no control over the availability of the linked pages.
